TUPIT provides transformative educational experiences that build the capacity of students and faculty to respond creatively and collaboratively to mass incarceration and to become active agents of change. Brooke is currently teaching an Introduction to Psychology (PSYC101) course to 12 students at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center, a maximum security prison in Massachusetts.

The McLean Mental Health Research Summer Program (MMHRSP) is a 10-week summer neuroscience and clinical research experience for underrepresented undergraduates interested in pursuing mental health research careers. Brooke joined MMHRSP in 2023 and became the Director of the Wellness Committee in 2025.

The Living in Bias: Education on Racial Trauma for Youth (L.I.B.E.R.T.Y) Project is a free online program for adolescents wishing to learn about and address racial trauma. The program was founded in 2022 by high school student Addison Gaddy for the Girl Scout Gold Award, under the mentorship of Brooke and a fellow Emory graduate student.

Brooke has volunteered as a support group facilitator at the WRCDV since 2017. The WRCDV helps survivors of domestic violence in Atlanta improve their safety by finding housing, exercising their legal rights, accessing resources, and connecting with women with shared experiences. Support groups provide a space for women who are currently, or have formerly been, in an abusive relationship to come together to receive emotional support, resources, and friendship.

EPiC is a federally funded program through the School of Medicine that pairs high school students with Emory undergraduate mentors and provides three years of mentorship, health education, college preparation, and exposure to health careers. EPiC particularly seeks to serve students of color attending Title IX high schools in the Atlanta Public School system, which are historically under-resourced and can afford fewer opportunities for students. Brooke’s weekly role included serving as a support and resource for undergraduate mentors, organizing and presenting educational materials, leading group discussions, guiding students through the design, implementation, and dissemination of research projects, and fostering professional and educational development.

JEDI is a Graduate Student Committee within Emory's Department of Psychology. JEDI works to create safe and inclusive learning and work environments by focusing on initiatives and events that recognize, engage, support, and benefit marginalized scholars. In an effort to center and integrate diverse perspectives within psychological science, Brooke co-organized an inaugural event to foster research collaborations between universities within the Atlanta metro area. Caring Communities is an interprofessional group of mental health professionals including psychologists, psychiatrists, and clinical social workers who mobilized in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic to provide communities with support, guidance, and compassion. Brooke has contributed to the development and implementation of support groups, debriefings, tip-sheets, wellness activities, and education for healthcare professionals and the public. 

In 2021, Brooke received training through an Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) funded program to facilitate constructive dialogues around systemic racism, social and economic inequality, and healthcare inequities that contribute to disparities in health outcomes. The program's mission is to improve future psychologists' competence and capability to facilitate such conversations in healthcare settings and beyond. As a facilitator, Brooke has led Diversity Dialogues with Emory University medical students and faculty that produced actionable steps towards reducing inequities in the healthcare education system.

In 2020, as many began to invest time and resources to address structural racism, DISC members within Emory's Department of Psychiatry developed a series of anti-racism action guides to provide information about anti-racism and anti-oppression, and to suggest actions one can take to educate themselves, address structural racism, and uplift and center the voices of people who have been marginalized in our country. Brooke took the lead on developing several of these action guides, including ones on navigating microaggressions and applying ACT principles to anti-racism work.
